Adex Personnel is looking for a Buyer for one of its partners, a leader in the pharmaceutical compounding industry, located in Montreal. The Buyer is responsible to always have stock available for sale, source products of superior quality at lowest cost possible, and analyze inventory to place orders in a timely manner.

 Responsibilities :

  • Analyze reports and contracts to evaluate the purchasing of inventory (finished goods);
  • Manage optimal inventory levels for assigned products;
  • Interpret reports and react to uncertainty in customer demand;
  • Use MRP to analyze inventory movements, sales turns, and costs with the use of the MRP system;
  • Purchase orders to be placed immediately upon receipt of MRP suggestions;
  • Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance.
  • Conduct routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and compliance;
  • Negotiate competitive pricing while achieving the highest standards of quality and service;
  • Resolve any potential supplier shortage;
  • Deal with rejected orders and negotiate returns with suppliers;
  • Ensure all orders are delivered according to PO specifications, and released for sale according to MRP schedule;
  • Ensure all delivery dates are accurate in the ERP system.

 Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics/supply chain management or related field;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills required; fluent English, basic French (oral & written) and Mandarin (mandatory);
  • Fast learner, initiative, and judgement;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required; Syspro an asset.
