Adex Personnel is seeking an electromechanic/Industrial Mechanic to join one of its partners, a Leader in the manufacturing of food and beverage products, and a leader in meat processing in Montreal.

Under the supervision of the maintenance manager, you will be responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of the company's electromechanical equipment, as well as ensuring the proper functioning of machines and automated systems while adhering to established safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  •  Perform immediate repairs during equipment breakdowns or failures.
  • Execute the work required by preventive and corrective maintenance work orders on various equipment used by the company, following the established preventive maintenance schedule.
  •  Complete the required forms and documents associated with the work performed.
  •  Manage and keep inventory up to date for equipment under your responsibility.
  •  Perform mechanical work as needed in the plant (equipment, utilities, or buildings) depending on the workload of your department.
  •  Ensure that your actions in your role support the production of products with the quality and food safety criteria defined by the company.
  • Ensure compliance with SQF food safety requirements and report any food safety issues to authorized personnel.
  •  Perform other related tasks as needed by the company.

Requirements:

  •  Vocational diploma (DEP) or college diploma (DEC) in industrial mechanics or electromechanics or maintenance.
  • Possess a License C when required for the position, otherwise having a License C would be an asset.
  •  Knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  •  Experience in the food industry, in processes, and production lines.
  •  3 years of experience in a similar position.
  •  Good mechanical knowledge and manual skills.
  •  Ability to perform physical tasks and knowledge to move heavy equipment.
  • Ability to perform plumbing work (e.g., threading a pipe, etc.).
  • Skills in diagnosing and knowledge of equipment using pneumatic, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic systems.
  •  Knowledge and skills for TIG welding to perform sanitary welds.
  • Team player with the ability for effective organization and a well-structured work method.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to their importance.
  • Attention to detail, initiative, and communication..
  • Developed a sense of autonomy, ability to manage one's own time.
  • Enjoy challenges, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Bilingual: French and English (oral and written).
