IT Technician (M/F)

Adex Personnel is looking for an IT Technician (M/F) for one of its partners, a recognized leader in technological transformation. 

In this position, you will be working on a client project in the healthcare sector over a period of one year with the possibility of renewal, in the city of Joliette. 

Responsibilities: 

  • The Junior IT Technician will be responsible for the preparation, testing, assembly and deployment of workstations of informational solutions required for the upgrade to Windows 10. He/she will actively participate in the preparation and deployment activities of the W10 release to users.
  • Contribute in analyses specific to his/her area of expertise for recommendation purposes
  • Configure and install hardware or software components;
  • Solve complex technological problems;
  • Carry out certain technical tasks in the implementation of projects;
  • Coordinate the work of other resources in the context of the project;
  • To carry out the upgrade of various systems or components;
  • Configure and implement solutions to increase and ensure the security of information assets;
  • Create and maintain technical documentation;
  • Collaborate in the definition of norms and standards in his/her field of specialization;
  • Train technical resources in order to extend his knowledge within the team;
  • Write technical documents to develop and preserve organizational knowledge;
  • Plan the activities for which he/she is responsible in order to minimize the impact on customer service;
  • Act and direct his/her activities in accordance with the standards defined by the DRI LLL;
  • Carry out work-related activities in accordance with the established norms and standards specific to the team to which he/she is assigned;
  • Perform quality work with concern and respect for the customer, in a context where the customer experience is at the forefront;
  • Respond to complex requests and define corrective or workaround procedures in order to increase control and avoid service discontinuity;
  • Prioritize and apply the escalation procedure when solutions are not progressing;
  • Monitor the progress of the resolution of requests, inform the persons concerned of the status of their request by effectively communicating the diagnosis of the problems and the solutions, in addition to updating the information related to the interventions carried out;
  • Recommend measures to improve the quality of services offered;
  • Inform and train the personnel in charge of user support;
  • Respect the rules of communication and ethics required and in effect;
  • Carry out administrative tasks related to the management of the computer equipment such as inventory management;
  • Perform configuration, installation and maintenance of components requiring his/her level of expertise;
  • Actively participate in the planning, implementation and configuration of new technologies and systems;
  • Configure systems and software to apply security rules according to defined standards and procedures
  • Follow up on various technological events that could cause damage or alter the security of systems and information
  • Actively participate in the restoration of services when a major event or incident occurs;
  • Maintain the inventory and the CMDB;
  • Follow up on post migration issues. 

Requirements: 

  • Relevant experience in installation, configuration and technical support of user environments such as Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory (DNS, GPO), Print Servers, Terminal Management (TS), Citrix, Antivirus, WSUS, SCCM and Outlook email;
  • Experience in adapting (migrating) systems to W10 will be considered.
  • Experience in the health care network will be an asset
  • Strong ability to listen, analyze, synthesize and manage priorities;
  • Excellent communicator and fluency in spoken and written French;
  • Versatile, skilled, autonomous and professional;
  • Strong understanding of project management processes and tools;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Ability to influence, communicate and work in a team;
  • Ability to innovate and propose new ways of doing things;
  • Good judgment and resourcefulness.
