Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales forecasting and demand planning process.
    Manage an 18-month rolling demand plan for a complete portfolio of products within a global supply chain
  • Work closely with Sales team to translate and validate sales plans into demand plans as part of the Monthly S&OP process to achieve sustainable demand plan accuracy
  • Establish and monitor forecast accuracy and BIAS reporting, identify gaps and work with the sales and internal supply chain teams to improve the KPIs for critical items
  • Track and problem solve root cause of forecast error, bias, and on time delivery rate misses, coordinating closely with partners in
  • Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Operations.
  • Identify abnormal demand patterns and coordinates with Master Scheduling function to evaluate and recommend alternatives
  • Facilitate Product Line Management including performing new product analysis and action plan tracking, ensuring formal development and implementation of business policies (safety stock, MTO/MTS/FTO and lead times), managing the product addition and deletion process and performing formal (Quadrant) analysis.
  • Measure and improve the reliability of forecasts to contribute to key supply-chain performance indicators
  • Prepare ad hoc reports to improve forecasts and the ability of external actors to understand variances
  • Work with Sales to clearly identify and present opportunities and risks in the demand plan and document and communicate related risks and opportunities
  • Monitor and report on important changes in forecasts month over month versus previous forecast, operating plan and team commitment and sales expectations.
  • Design, build and own tools to improve processes and information gathering
  • Work with cross functional teams and provide insight to improve business decisions through data
  • Serves as the “bridge” between the different levels of work and functional areas, primarily Sales, New Products and Supply Chain

Requirements:

  • Planning competency and strong knowledge of supply chain as well as financial acumen
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and utilization of formal Continuous Improvement processes
  • Overall understanding of MRP II, Demand forecasting and NPI processes and their interdependencies with other business processes
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to develop and establish cross-functional relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively at multiple levels within the organization, (i.e. strategic and executive level down to a very tactical level).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and in a matrixed environment required
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and flexibility for changing priorities required
  • Ability to question the status quo and actively take part in the continuous improvement of procedures and tools
  • Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken
  • 4-5 years of Demand Planning experience in an S&OP context
  • Experience in statistical forecasting software systems and processes
  • Experience with CRM/ERP software functionality (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Business Central a plus)
