Adex is looking for an Automation and Robotics Specialist (M/F), for one of its partners, a company specialized in industrial automation equipment and software located in Quebec. The Automation and Robotics Specialist's main mandate is to support the start-up of automated systems at our plant, to do the commissioning and after-sales support at our customers' sites.

Responsibilities :
- Participate in the development of automated software, operator interfaces, robot software according to the designer's directives.
- Implement the different software in the equipment.
- Validate the inputs/outputs of the system.
- Update the electrical connection plans, when required;
- Verify the proper functioning of the program and ensure its synergy with the other components of the system;
- Carry out simulations to confirm functionality and obtain provisional acceptance;
- Carry out the global simulation before its integration at the customer's site.
- Participate in installations and commissioning at the customer's site;
- Install the system components at the customer's site according to Matiss standards;
- Support the start-up of the system at the customer's site;
- Make corrections and adjustments to meet specifications;
- Validate operation sequences and complete final acceptance.
- Provide technical assistance to customers after commissioning;
- Perform preventive maintenance;
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment or devices;
- Suggest required replacement parts, if any;
- Assist/train the persons concerned;
- Suggest products or services.
- Write and/or update technical manuals for systems;
- Collaborate with team members and other departments;
- Respect safety rules at all times, whether at Matiss or at the customer's;
- Carry out any other tasks required.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree or DEC in electrical engineering or industrial electronics, automated production;
- Advanced intermediate (French/English);
- More than 5 years of relevant experience;
- Knowledge of the Logix (Allen Bradley) or TIA Portal (Siemens) platform, Fanuc/ABB;
- Ability to integrate PLC and robot software
- Knowledge of blueprint reading;
- Knowledge in mechanics/pneumatics (an asset)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD (an asset);
- Manual (able to work with hands)
- Mobile; available to travel (Canada/US)
