Manufacturing System Architect

Adex is looking for a Manufacturing System Architect (M/F) for one of its partners, experts in manufacturing engineering and product development, in several sectors of activity. You can join the team in the Boisbriand, Montreal, Drummondville, Sherbrooke or Brossard offices.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the opportunity to participate in a concrete way in the digital shift of manufacturing companies by joining the ranks of the Intelligent Factory team. In a fast-paced technological environment, a multitude of projects are being developed to enhance the value of data in companies in order to increase productivity: implementation of ERP and CRM systems, machine connectivity, process automation, IoT, robotics, etc.

As a Manufacturing System Architect and in collaboration with a team of experts, you will have the chance to put your expertise to work and acquire new knowledge to develop and implement innovative 4.0 solutions for the clients.

Responsibilities :

  • You will be responsible for analyzing and documenting the customer's operational and technological situation in order to propose solutions adapted to their needs;
  • You will be responsible for creating and implementing 4.0 architectures combining software, electronics, industrial machinery and operational practices;
  • You will act as a facilitator between the different levels of employees at the customer's site;
  • You will guide and supervise the development teams to ensure the success of the projects;
  • You will contribute to the research and development of new technological solutions for 4.0;
  • You will participate in creating a distinct and unique 4.0 offering in Quebec!

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, robotics/mechatronics engineering or industrial engineering;
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience in development or implementation of technological solutions;
  • Be resourceful and proactive;
  • Be bilingual (French/English).
  • Be able to design and program embedded systems;
  • Familiarity with operational management in a manufacturing environment; an asset
  • Be familiar with the Node-Red development environment;
  • Knowledge of programming (C#, C++, C, Javascript);
  • Knowledge of certain manufacturing protocols (Modbus, DeviceNet, MtConnect, OPC UA, Fanuc, etc.);
  • Experience in the manufacturing environment - an asset
  • Experience in designing and implementing technology solutions relevant to the manufacturing environment - an Asset
  • Strong teamwork skills, visionary leadership style, creative and innovative, strong communication skills, and strong analytical and rigorous skills
