Factory Foreman

Adex Personnel is looking for a Factory Foreman - Painting to join its team.

In this position, you will manage the paint department staff and be responsible for all types of departmental activities from start to finish.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensure the smooth operation of your department;
  • Follow the predetermined sequences of operations according to the established priorities, the schedule of the projects, the availability of the personnel, the equipment and according to the raw materials;
  • Perform active supervision rounds (gemba walk) and lead the start of shift meeting with your team.
  • Detect when the workload to be done is greater than the capacity of your plant;
  • Detect opportunities for improvement and propose and implement the necessary corrective measures;
  • Define your staffing needs and participate in the selection of employees with the human resources department;
  • Prepare the integration and training of new employees in your department;
  • Carry out annual performance evaluations and follow up on objectives with your employees in collaboration with your supervisor;
  • Manage disciplinary measures in collaboration with the human resources department;
  • Identify the training needs of your employees;
  • Manage the application of the collective agreement

Requirements :

  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Have a good knowledge in the field of painting;
  • Have a good leadership/communication/coaching skills;
  • Have a global vision of the plant in order to be proactive;
  • Have a sense of responsibility (reliable, structured);
  • Evening schedule: Monday to Thursday 4:00 pm to 2:30 am (possibility of overtime)
  • French : Advanced
  • English: Intermediate
