Adex Personnel is looking for a strategic buyer for one of its partners, a manufacturing performance expert firm with offices in Drummondville, Laval, Sherbrooke, Brossard and St-Bruno-de-Montarville.

In this position, you will put your genius to work and contribute to the success of major projects in various fields of the industry. As a purchasing expert, you will act as a strategic buyer to carry out and ensure the management and deployment of projects.

Responsibilities :

- Conduct supplier prospecting for tender projects, product development and industrialization projects;

- Conduct 'Make or buy' analyses;

- Conduct manufacturing evaluations of suppliers;

- Identify risks in suppliers' manufacturing processes and make improvements to reduce these risks;

- Manage the complete supplier evaluation system and participate in the implementation of supplier objectives;

- Contribute to the overall execution of procurement projects and profitability of the company;

- Plan, direct, track and report on procurement deliverables;

- Proactively schedule activities to meet requirements in a timely manner;

- Guide purchasing project activities through active leadership and good communication with stakeholders in purchasing and other areas;

- Highlight procurement requirements to other functions in the project plan to protect project deliverables;

- Prepare project follow-ups and present to procurement reference groups and other groups;

- Contribute to the continuous improvement and overall alignment of processes and procedures;

Requirements :

- University degree in engineering, business administration or economics, B.A., M.Sc., MBA or equivalent;

- Minimum of 4 years of purchasing or sales experience in a manufacturing environment;

- Knowledge of an ERP system;

- Purchasing experience in the transportation industry is an asset;

- Experience with systems and processes in the transportation industry including the global development process, an asset;

- Bilingual, English and French, both written and spoken;

- Demonstrate a strong ability to drive change in an international context;

- Possess a results-oriented approach;

- Have a strong sense of project orientation;

- Be open to working in a multicultural environment;

- Distinguish yourself by your leadership and management skills;

- Have good interpersonal skills;
